A4924035 Kiara is a friendly 2-year-old black and tan female Rottweiler mix who was found in Covina and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on February 29th. Weighing 75 lbs, Kiara is a big strong girl, but is friendly with people and has a nice, even temperament. She walks okay on leash, but pulls a little when she’s distracted, so some extra training will help her on the road to being a great canine citizen. She also has shown good signs of being housebroken. At best she is curious about other dogs, but she is mostly unreactive. She has scored a B on her shelter administered temperament test, a testament to her great behavior with people and other dogs. Her favourite thing to do is play with squeaky toys! Kiara has a large mass on her mammary glands which will need to be seen by an outside veterinarian; because of this, she will need to be adopted out on a health waiver. Kiara will make an awesome indoor companion for anyone who likes large breed dogs living in a private home.
